Drive Smartly

Drive Smartly is an application that tracks an automotive user's driving patterns and delivers the results in a meaningful way.

An average american drives 37 miles per day, 13,476 miles per year, and consumes 558 gallons of gas, costing $2,120 annually. According to the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute, an average fuel economy of cars, SUVs, and light trucks in the U.S. runs 24.6 MPG.

In 2011, Jaguar announced an interesting story. Their XJ sedan travelled from New York to Los Angeles within 52.4 MPG. 52 Mile per gallon. It is huge number. It’s got a diesel engine but doesn’t have hybrid or additional electric support.  How did they do that?  They said in the media that driving sensibly and observing the speed limit leaves to better fuel efficiency.  Drive Smartly app started from these facts.
